Gary Gibson is the Director, H&S Services with the School Boards' Co-operative Inc. (SBCI), a not for profit owned by Ontario school boards. Prior to SBCI, Gary had a 30-year career with the Durham District School Board after beginning his safety career in the industrial hygiene/hazardous materials division of General Motors of Canada.

With over 40 years of safety experience , Gary is a passionate believer in lifelong learning and giving back through mentoring and volunteering.  Volunteer roles include the Safe Communities of Pickering-Ajax, Ontario Association of School Business Officials, Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals, Fleming College HSE Program Advisory Committee, Canadian Standards Association, International Slips, Trips, and Falls Technical Committee, and the former CSSE (Ontario Durham East Chapter) and now HSPC.
