Dave Brewin is a seasoned leader in the digital health sector, and is the Vice President Digital Health and Regional Chief Information Officer at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) in Barrie, Ontario. With the goal of a seamless and digitally enabled health system, the RVH Regional Digital Health team provides services to health care organizations in the Ontario, Central Region – North. Dave holds an MBA and a Master of Health Science in Clinical Engineering from UofT. Before moving back to Ontario in 2020, Dave was a leader at Alberta Health Services in their Information Technology Department for ~14 years through the regionalization and provincialization of the health system.

Lindsay Bertrand
Chief Clinical Information Officer
Nova Scotia Health/IWK Health
Lindsay is a proven healthcare leader who is passionate about improving health outcomes by leveraging innovative solutions, patient/provider experience, and delivering exemplary care to all Nova Scotians. She has been the Chief Clinical Information Officer for Nova Scotia Health/IWK Health since 2022. In this role, she has worked to advance technology-enabled practice and, as one member of a Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) triad, has worked on patient and clinician- centered readiness for OPOR.
This work has been informed by her background as a clinician. A Registered Respiratory Therapist and Certified Clinical Anesthesia Assistant by training, she spent 15 years in front-line, patient-facing care, both as a clinician and as a manager at IWK Health. Additionally, Lindsay holds a Master of Health Informatics from the University of Waterloo. She believes that Nova Scotia is poised to be a leader in digital health through a cohesive provincial strategy, pioneering novel workflows to meet population health needs.
Lindsay believes in servant leadership and is driven by building safety culture for patients and providers, breaking down silos, and health system transformation.

Dr. Julie Maranda
Family Physician
Dr. Julie Maranda is a bilingual family physician with work experience in both Quebec and Ontario. She brings over 25 years of experience in acute, community, urban, and rural settings. After attending McGill Medical School, she did residency at the University of Toronto where she completed fellowships in academics, in low-risk obstetrics, a Master’s in Health Science/Family Medicine Education, and then went on to become the post-graduate program director for family medicine at the University Health Network.
Occupying progressive leadership positions, she was chief-of-staff since 2013, and became Vice-President of clinical operations in 2019 at the Hawkesbury General Hospital. In her executive functions she has been through several accreditation cycles with exemplary standing, led through a major construction project, supervised occupational health and infection control practices throughout the pandemic, and helped implement a regional electronic medical record system in Eastern Ontario achieving HIMSS EMRAM level 6.
Dr. Maranda is a fellow of the Canadian College of Family Physicians since 2019 and graduated in 2021 from McMaster University with an executive MBA specialized in digital transformation. As the Chief Medical Officer for Accenture Canada, she is working as a consultant supporting innovation across the health care sector.

Evan is the Chief Information Officer at Joseph Brant Hospital, a full-service, academic community teaching hospital located in Burlington, Ontario. As CIO, Evan is responsible for executing the hospital’s ambitious digital transformation strategy. Prior to working at JBH, Evan was the Director of the Digital Health Program at the Ministry of Health where he was responsible for Ontario’s digital health strategy and investment management decision-making.
