Dr. Michel Lacerte is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Western University Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry in London, Ontario. He is also the associate Director or the Université de Montréal Insurance Medicine and Medicolegal Expertise Graduate Program. 

He is the founder of the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators. He is also a certified vocational rehabilitation professional. He is on the Board of Director International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals Canadian Chapter.

He has co-authored five books on medicolegal issues and one book on disability management. His current interest is in the field of causation, disability and health care fraud prevention.
